I just heard about your book on NPR and will probably pick it up. I find it very frustrating, though, that most books and stories like this offered ignore the severely disabled ... I am a single father of two severely disabled children, raising my teenage daughter (non-mobile, non-verbal, etc.) alone. There are so many stories not covered ...
Dear Single Dad,
I hear your frustration, as the parent of a non-verbal preteen, and that's why we made sure to include stories about kids who are non-verbal/non-mobile/both. I hope you'll find ones to relate to.
